Dorothy's Beans is a hearty baked bean casserole with savory bacon, melted cheddar, and sweet brown sugar, perfect for family gatherings or comfort food cravings.

Ingredients

  • 1 can pork and beans (40 oz.)
  • 1 can butter beans (16 oz.), drained
  • 1 can kidney beans (16 oz.), drained
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 pound Cheddar cheese, diced
  • 1/2 cup catsup
  • 1/4 pound bacon, diced and fried
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion

Instructions

  1. Saute chopped onion in diced and fried bacon until translucent.
  2. Drain the onion and bacon mixture.
  3. Mix all ingredients including drained beans, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, diced cheddar, catsup, and the bacon and onion mixture in a casserole dish.
  4. Bake at 325°F for 1 hour or at 250°F for 3 hours.
