Ingredients

  • 4 slices bacon
  • 1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/8 teaspoon crushed thyme leaves
  • 1 can cream of celery soup
  • 1 can chicken vegetable soup
  • 1 can water
  • 1 1/2 cups diced, cooked chicken
  • 8 oz. whole kernel corn (undrained)
  • 1/2 cup chopped or stewed tomatoes
  • dash of pepper

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan or large skillet, cook bacon until crisp.
  2. Remove bacon and crumble.
  3. Pour off all but 2 tablespoons of drippings.
  4. Brown mushrooms and cook onion with thyme in drippings until tender.
  5. Add bacon and remaining ingredients.
  6. Heat the mixture, stirring occasionally, until heated through and flavors meld.
