Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cups salad oil
  • 1 (8 oz.) can undrained crushed pineapple
  • 2 cups chopped nuts, divided
  • 2 cups chopped bananas
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla

Instructions

  1. Combine dry ingredients (flour, salt, cinnamon, soda) in a large bowl.
  2. Add eggs and salad oil, mixing well.
  3. Stir in vanilla, undrained crushed pineapple, 1 cup chopped nuts, and chopped bananas.
  4. Spoon the batter into 3 well-greased and floured cake pans.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes.
  6. Cool in pans for 10 minutes before removing from pans.
  7. Cool completely on wire racks.
  8. Spread with Cream Cheese Frosting before serving.
