Ingredients

  • 28 oz. can pork and beans
  • 1 medium bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 tomato
  • 1/3 cup Dr. Pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Drain liquid from the can of pork and beans and pour beans into a baking dish.
  3. Gently mix in chopped bell pepper, chopped onion, and chopped tomato.
  4. Combine dark brown sugar, ground cloves, and Dr. Pepper until sugar is dissolved.
  5. Pour the mixture evenly over the beans and vegetables in the baking dish.
  6. Cover and bake for 30 minutes.
