Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Cream butter, sugar, and eggs together until well combined.
  2. Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and cinnamon.
  3. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture, mixing well.
  4. Stir in vanilla and sour cream until the batter is smooth.
  5. Spread half of the batter into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
  6. Mix brown sugar, white sugar, and chopped pecans to make the topping.
  7. Sprinkle half of the topping over the batter in the pan.
  8. Add the remaining batter on top of the topping layer.
  9. Sprinkle the remaining topping over the final layer of batter.
  10. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 to 35 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
