Ingredients

  • 2 cups uncooked macaroni
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 3/4 cup chopped celery
  • 3/4 cup chopped onions
  • 16 oz canned tomatoes
  • 6 oz can tomato paste
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
  • 12 oz can vacuum packed kernel corn, drained

Instructions

  1. Cook macaroni according to package instructions; rinse and drain.
  2. Brown ground beef with chopped celery and onions; drain off fat.
  3. Stir in tomato paste, water, and canned tomatoes.
  4. Add drained corn and seasoning (salt, pepper, chili powder).
  5. Stir to mix thoroughly.
  6. Combine cooked macaroni and meat sauce in a casserole dish.
  7. Pour into a 2 1/2-quart casserole.
  8. If desired, sprinkle with grated cheese.
  9. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes.
