Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 cups light brown sugar, packed
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. In a 9 x 13-inch pan, melt the butter; blend in the brown sugar and cool.
  2. Stir in eggs, flour, baking powder, salt, vanilla, and nuts. Blend well.
  3. Bake for 25 minutes in a 350°F oven.
  4. Do not overbake. Cut while warm.
  5. If preferred, mix all ingredients in a bowl first and then pour into the pan to bake.
