Ingredients

  • 3 cups corn bread, crumbled
  • 2 cups light bread, crumbled
  • 2 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup celery, chopped
  • 1 large onion, minced
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon sage
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 large eggs, beaten
  • 3 tablespoons margarine
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Boil celery and onion in water, then add margarine and let cool.
  2. Combine crumbled corn bread, light bread, chicken broth, cooked celery and onion, sage, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Add beaten eggs and flour to the mixture, mixing lightly but thoroughly.
  4. Spread the mixture in a baking dish or large pan sprayed with non-stick vegetable spray.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
