Ingredients

  • 1 baked 9-inch pie shell
  • 1 (6 1/2 oz.) can tuna, drained
  • 1 1/2 cups grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon chives
  • 3/4 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/8 pound sliced mushrooms

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. Spread tuna over the bottom of the baked 9-inch pie shell.
  3. Sprinkle grated Cheddar cheese and chopped onion over the tuna.
  4. Top with sliced mushrooms.
  5. Beat together eggs, evaporated milk, lemon juice, chives, garlic salt, and pepper.
  6. Pour the egg mixture over the tuna and vegetables in the pie shell.
  7. Bake on a cookie sheet for 15 minutes.
  8. Reduce oven temperature to 350°F (175°C) and continue baking for an additional 12 to 15 minutes, or until the center is set.
