A flavorful, layered Mexican-inspired dip featuring refried beans, spicy salsa, seasoned sour cream, fresh avocados, tomatoes, olives, and cheese—perfect for parties and gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans refried beans
  • 1 (16 oz.) jar picante sauce
  • 1 package taco seasoning
  • 2 (16 oz.) packages sour cream
  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1 or 2 tomatoes, diced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 (12 oz.) can black olives
  • 1 (12 oz.) block Colby cheese

Instructions

  1. Mix the taco seasoning with one package of sour cream and set aside.
  2. Mash the avocados and add the remaining sour cream; set aside.
  3. Shred the Colby cheese and set aside.
  4. In a 9 x 13-inch pan, layer refried beans, picante sauce, the taco seasoning mixture, the avocado and sour cream mixture, diced tomatoes, diced onion, black olives, and shredded cheese.
  5. Serve with tortilla chips.
