  • truffle oil (for garnish)

Tips & Substitutions

For a creamier texture, consider adding a splash of heavy cream or coconut milk after blending. If butternut squash isn't available, pumpkin or sweet potatoes can be excellent substitutes. To enhance the flavors, roasting the squash before adding it to the soup will give a deeper, caramelized taste. This soup can also be made vegetarian by using vegetable broth instead of chicken broth.

Serving Suggestions

Serve this elegant butternut squash soup hot, drizzled with truffle oil for a luxurious finish. It pairs beautifully with crusty bread or a light salad, making it a perfect starter for a dinner party. You can also top it with freshly grated Parmesan cheese or a dollop of sour cream for added richness.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftover soup in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. To reheat, simply warm it gently on the stove over low heat, stirring occasionally. If the soup thickens after refrigeration, add a little water or broth to reach your desired consistency before serving.
