Ingredients

  • 4 lb. ground cooked meat
  • 1/2 lb. suet
  • 6 lb. chopped tart apples
  • 2 lb. seedless raisins
  • 2 lb. currants
  • 2 (No. 2) cans crushed pineapple
  • 3 c. white sugar
  • 3 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. vinegar
  • 1 qt. meat broth
  • 2 qt. sweet cider
  • 2 Tbsp. cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp. nutmeg
  • 2 Tbsp. allspice

Instructions

  1. Cook the mixture for 1 1/2 hours.
  2. Seal the finished mincemeat in glass jars for storage.
