Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/2 Tbsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 3/4 c. chopped, cooked chicken
  • pinch of chili powder
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 3 Tbsp. chili sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. shortening

Instructions

  1. Put flour, sugar, and salt into a bowl. Cut in butter and shortening. Mix in egg yolk and sprinkle in water, one tablespoon at a time, mixing until dough forms a ball.
  2. Flour a board and knead dough until springy for 2 to 3 minutes.
  3. Divide dough in half and roll each half to 1/8 to 1/16-inch thickness.
  4. Cut into 2 1/2-inch rounds.
