Ingredients

  • 2 lb. frozen hash brown potatoes
  • 1/2 c. melted butter
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 c. grated onions
  • 2 c. sour cream
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the frozen hash brown potatoes, melted butter, salt, pepper, grated cheddar cheese, grated onions, sour cream, and cream of chicken soup.
  3. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish.
  5. Bake uncovered for 45 minutes to an hour, until heated through and bubbly.
  6. Add the crumbled cooked bacon or bacon bits on top during the last 15 minutes of baking.
