Tips & Substitutions
For an extra crunch, consider adding crispy chow mein noodles or replacing the peanuts with sunflower seeds for a nut-free option. If you prefer a sweeter taste, increase the sugar slightly. You can also substitute the teriyaki chicken with grilled shrimp for a different protein. This Fast Fumi Salad is a great way to use up leftover chicken from other dishes like Skillet Chef'S Salad.
Serving Suggestions
This salad is best served chilled or at room temperature, making it perfect for potlucks or picnics. Pair it with a side of spring rolls or a light soup for a complete meal. For a refreshing drink, consider serving it with iced green tea or a fruity lemonade to complement the flavors.
Storage & Reheating
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, gently warm the chicken mixture in a skillet over low heat, adding a splash of water to prevent drying out. The coleslaw mix can be added fresh just before serving to retain its crunch.
