Ingredients

  • 1 pint heavy cream
  • 1 stick soft butter
  • 1/2 pound bacon
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 2 cups grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • Fettucine noodles

Instructions

  1. Brown the bacon, drain and crumble; set aside.
  2. Saute onion and bell pepper in bacon grease until onion is barely transparent; keep vegetables firm; set aside.
  3. Cook fettucine noodles according to package instructions; drain.
  4. Do not rinse the noodles.
  5. Heat a large pot until very hot, then turn off the heat.
  6. Add butter to coat the sides of the pot.
  7. Pour heavy cream into the pot.
  8. Add the cooked noodles, beaten eggs, sour cream, black pepper, grated Parmesan cheese, crumbled bacon, sautéed onion, and sliced bell pepper.
  9. Work quickly after draining the noodles to ensure the heat cooks the eggs and creates a creamy sauce.
