Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/4 cup whipping cream
  • 8 oz bacon
  • 1 lb fettucini or linguine
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese
  • pepper
  • 1/4 cup parsley

Instructions

  1. Let butter or margarine, eggs, and cream stand at room temperature for 2 to 3 hours.
  2. Cook bacon in skillet until browned.
  3. Remove and drain on paper toweling.
  4. Beat together eggs and cream just until blended.
  5. Cook pasta until al dente, about 15 minutes.
  6. Drain thoroughly; do not rinse.
  7. Toss pasta with butter.
  8. Pour egg mixture over pasta and toss until well coated.
  9. Add bacon, Parmesan cheese, pepper, and parsley; toss to mix.
