Ingredients

  • 2 large perch fillets
  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 3 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon parsley
  • 1 tablespoon chives
  • 1 clove garlic

Instructions

  1. Prepare the filling by beating softened cream cheese with egg, parsley, chives, and chopped garlic.
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a cookie sheet to the edges.
  3. Lay half of the perch fillets in the center of the pastry.
  4. Spread the prepared filling over the perch.
  5. Place the remaining perch fillets on top of the filling.
  6. Bring the pastry up around the fish and pinch closed to seal.
  7. Trim excess pastry and use it to decorate like a fish.
  8. Use water to attach pastry scales, fins, and tail for decoration.
