Ingredients

  • fish fillets
  • lemon juice
  • 6 Tbsp. flour
  • 2 Tbsp. cornmeal
  • 1/2 tsp. dill or tarragon
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. paprika
  • 3 oz. beer
  • 4 Tbsp. cooking oil

Instructions

  1. Sprinkle the fish fillets inside and out with lemon juice.
  2. Mix the flour, cornmeal, dill or tarragon, salt, and paprika in a bowl.
  3. Add beer to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth to make the batter.
  4. Dip the fish fillets into the beer batter.
  5. Fry the battered fish in hot oil for 8 to 9 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
