Ingredients

  • 4 cups fillet of fish, ground
  • 3 cups chopped green onions
  • 1 cup chopped parsley
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cups dry white wine
  • 2 teaspoons chopped garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Louisiana hot sauce or 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped pepper
  • 1 cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • 8 large bell peppers
  • 2 (16 oz) cans tomato sauce

Instructions

  1. Grind the fish fillet or put it through a food processor.
  2. Sauté chopped green onions and parsley in olive oil until tender.
  3. Add 1 cup of white wine, chopped garlic, hot sauce or red pepper, soy sauce, salt, and chopped pepper to the sautéed mixture.
  4. Cook until the onions and peppers are tender.
  5. Let the mixture cool for a few minutes.
  6. Stuff the mixture into the cleaned bell peppers.
  7. Place the stuffed peppers in a baking dish and pour the tomato sauce over them.
  8. Bake until the peppers are tender and the filling is heated through.
