Florentine Brunch Casserole

Ingredients
- 16 slices firm white bread
- 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine ⓘ
- 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed cream of celery soup ⓘ
- 1/3 c. milk ⓘ
- 1/4 tsp. coarsely ground black pepper ⓘ
- 1/3 c. finely chopped onion ⓘ
- 1 red bell pepper, diced ⓘ
- 1/2 c. diced cooked deli ham ⓘ
- 10 eggs, lightly beaten ⓘ
- 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese ⓘ
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Cut crusts off bread using a serrated bread knife.
- Cube the crusts to measure 2 cups.
- Arrange bread slices in an overlapping pattern against the sides of an oval baker; place bread cubes in the bottom.
- Place 2 tablespoons of butter in a small micro-cooker; microwave, covered, on high for 30 seconds or until melted.
- Lightly brush melted butter over bread slices using a pastry brush.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until the edges of the bread are golden brown.
