Ingredients

  • 1 lb. macaroni
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 4 cups shredded cheese
  • 2 cups fresh bread crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 cups milk

Instructions

  1. Cook macaroni as directed; drain.
  2. Toss bread crumbs with butter, salt, pepper, parsley, basil, and Parmesan cheese.
  3. Butter a 3-quart casserole dish.
  4. Arrange layers of macaroni, bread crumbs, and shredded cheese in the casserole dish.
