Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. butter or oleo
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 c. pumpkin
  • 1 3/4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 3/4 c. nuts
  • 3/4 c. chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and sugar.
  2. Add eggs and beat well.
  3. Sift flour, soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt.
  4. Add to butter and sugar mixture. Add pumpkin and flour alternately, starting and ending with flour.
  5. Add nuts and chocolate chips.
  6. Pour into 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.
  7. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup nuts.
  8. Bake at 350° for 60 to 70 minutes.
