Freckled Chili

Ingredients
- 1 lb boned, skinned chicken or turkey breast, cut in bite-size pieces ⓘ
- 1 lb ground turkey ⓘ
- 1 clove garlic, minced ⓘ
- 1 medium onion, chopped ⓘ
- 1 tsp chicken bouillon ⓘ
- 1 cup water ⓘ
- 1 (15 oz) can black beans, rinsed ⓘ
- 1 (15 oz) can navy beans, rinsed ⓘ
- 1 (15 oz) can kidney or chili beans, undrained ⓘ
- 1 (15 oz) can whole tomatoes, undrained ⓘ
- 1 (10 oz) can chopped tomatoes and green chilies, undrained ⓘ
- 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce ⓘ
- 2 Tbsp chili powder ⓘ
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper ⓘ
- 1/4 tsp dry mustard ⓘ
Instructions
- In a large pot, cook the chicken or turkey breast pieces and ground turkey until browned.
- Add minced garlic and chopped onion; cook until fragrant and onion is translucent.
- Stir in chicken bouillon, water, and all canned beans with their liquids, along with the whole tomatoes and chopped tomatoes with green chilies.
- Add tomato sauce, chili powder, cumin, cayenne pepper, and dry mustard; stir well.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer uncovered for about 45 minutes to 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
- Let the chili rest and develop flavors for at least one day before serving for best taste.
