Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 (1 oz.) pkg. onion soup mix
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese
  • grated Parmesan cheese
  • 12 slices toasted French bread

Instructions

  1. Mix the beaten egg into the ground beef, blending well.
  2. Stir in the onion soup mix.
  3. Divide the mixture into 6 equal parts and form into balls.
  4. Press each ball into a patty.
  5. Cook the patties by frying, broiling, or grilling until desired doneness, topping with Swiss cheese near the end of cooking.
  6. Serve the burgers on toasted French bread slices.
