Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups Wesson oil
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 cups self-rising flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups chopped apples
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Cream the oil and sugar together.
  2. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  3. Mix in the chopped apples.
  4. Add the chopped pecans and mix.
  5. Gradually add the sifted self-rising flour and baking soda, mixing well.
  6. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  7. Pour the batter into four prepared cake layers.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 25 minutes.
  9. Frost with Fresh Apple Cake Frosting once cooled.
