Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 slices white bread
  • 2 c. water
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 jar (12 oz.) mushroom gravy
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1 1/2 c. Original Minute rice

Instructions

  1. Combine ground beef, finely chopped onion, bread slices, 1/2 cup water, salt, pepper, and ground nutmeg in a large bowl; mix well.
  2. Shape the mixture into 4 patties.
  3. Cook the patties in hot oil in a large skillet until browned.
  4. Stir in mushroom gravy and 1/4 cup water into the skillet.
  5. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes or until cooked through.
