- 2 sq. unsweetened chocolate
- 1 c. powdered sugar ⓘ
- 1 egg, slightly beaten ⓘ
- dash of salt ⓘ
- 1 tsp. vanilla ⓘ
- walnut halves ⓘ
- 1/2 c. cornmeal ⓘ
- 1/4 c. flour ⓘ
- 1/4 c. molasses ⓘ
- 1/4 c. sugar ⓘ
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. ginger ⓘ
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon ⓘ
- 4 c. milk, scalded ⓘ
- 1 egg, well beaten ⓘ
- 1 peck peaches, skinned ⓘ
- sugar (1/2 weight of peaches) ⓘ
- 1 qt. brandy ⓘ
Instructions
- Cream butter well with powdered sugar, beating in eggs two at a time.
- Add flour and flavoring (vanilla or spices).
- Pour the batter into a tube pan.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 300°F (150°C) for 1 1/2 hours.
