Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder

  • 1 cup oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup chopped dates
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Sift together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Stir in the oats and chopped dates.
  3. Add the oil, egg, and milk; stir until just moistened.
  4. Fill lined muffin cups two-thirds full with the batter.
  5. Place one date half in each muffin cup.
  6. Bake at 425°F (220°C) for 15 minutes.
