Ingredients

  • 1 lb candied cherries, chopped
  • 1 lb candied pineapple, chopped
  • 1 c raisins
  • 4 c pecans, chopped
  • 2 3/4 c self rising flour
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 c butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 c sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 c fresh orange juice
  • 2 Tbsp homemade syrup

Instructions

  1. Mix melted butter and sugar together.
  2. Add well-beaten eggs and orange juice, mixing well.
  3. Stir in self-rising flour, nutmeg, and cinnamon until combined.
  4. Fold in chopped candied cherries, candied pineapple, raisins, and chopped pecans.
  5. Pour batter into a greased tube pan.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for approximately 1.5 hours or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
