Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread
  • butter
  • fresh crushed garlic or garlic powder
  • 4 to 6 chopped plum tomatoes
  • 1 medium chopped onion
  • olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp. crushed rosemary
  • 1/2 tsp. dried parsley

Instructions

  1. Combine chopped tomatoes, chopped onion, crushed rosemary, dried parsley, and 1/4 cup olive oil. Chill and marinate for 1 hour.
  2. Slice the French bread into 1-inch slices.
  3. Spread each bread slice with butter and crushed garlic or garlic powder.
  4. Broil the slices until lightly toasted.
  5. Optional: Top with mozzarella cheese and broil until the cheese melts.
