Ingredients

  • 1 c. Crisco
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 3 c. oatmeal
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 1/2 c. raisins

Instructions

  1. Cream the shortening, white sugar, and brown sugar together.
  2. Add the beaten eggs and vanilla, mixing well.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the dry ingredients: soda, salt, and flour.
  4. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing thoroughly.
  5. Stir in the oatmeal, chopped pecans, and raisins.
  6. Shape the dough into balls and flatten slightly.
  7. Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet at 375°F (190°C) for 10 to 15 minutes.
