- Combine all ingredients except butter, bread crumbs, and shortening. Marinate the chicken in the refrigerator overnight.
- Preheat the oven to 325°F. Roll the marinated chicken in bread crumbs.
- Melt the butter and shortening. Pour half of the melted mixture over the chicken.
- Bake uncovered for 30 minutes.
- Add the remaining butter and melted mixture over the chicken.
- Bake for an additional 15 to 20 minutes until golden and cooked through.
- Serve hot, ideally with rice.
