Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. pork sausage
  • 1 clove garlic, finely minced
  • 1 Tbsp. grated fresh or candied ginger
  • 3 eggs, separated
  • oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Combine pork sausage, minced garlic, grated ginger, and egg yolks in a bowl.
  2. Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into the meat mixture.
  3. Heat oil in a large, heavy saucepan.
  4. Drop meat mixture by teaspoonfuls into the hot oil, frying a few at a time.
  5. Fry about 5 minutes until cooked through and golden.
  6. Drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve hot.
