Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp margarine
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp natural Cheddar cheese
  • 3/4 cup corn flake crumbs
  • 1 (12 oz) can whole kernel corn, drained
  • 2 (10 oz) packages frozen broccoli spears, cooked and drained
  • 2 Tbsp flour
  • 1 1/2 cups milk

Instructions

  1. Melt 2 tablespoons margarine in a saucepan; stir in flour and salt.
  2. Gradually add milk, mixing until smooth.
  3. Cook until the mixture boils, stirring constantly.
  4. Add shredded cheddar cheese, stirring until melted.
  5. Mix in 1/4 cup corn flakes and drained corn.
  6. Arrange cooked and drained broccoli spears in a 7 1/2 x 11 3/4-inch baking dish.
  7. Pour the cheese sauce over the broccoli.
  8. Toss remaining 1/2 cup corn flakes with 2 tablespoons melted margarine.
  9. Sprinkle the crumb mixture over the casserole.
  10. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes until golden and bubbly.
