Ingredients

  • 10 oz. frozen French-cut green beans
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. Accent
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 1 tsp. prepared mustard
  • 1/2 c. Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 2 Tbsp. minced onions
  • 1/4 c. bread crumbs

Instructions

  1. Cook the frozen French-cut green beans according to package directions; drain.
  2. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a saucepan; add flour, salt, pepper, and Accent; heat until bubbly.
  3. Remove from heat; gradually stir in sour cream and prepared mustard. Heat, stirring constantly, but do not boil.
  4. Add the cooked beans, shredded Swiss cheese, and minced onions to the sauce; stir well.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a casserole dish.
  6. In a skillet, sauté bread crumbs in the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter until golden brown.
  7. Sprinkle the toasted bread crumbs over the casserole.
  8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15 minutes or until heated through and bubbly.
