Ingredients

  • 1 quart day-old bread
  • 1 quart crumbled cornbread
  • 1 quart crumbled biscuits
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped parsley
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons sage
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup broth
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients except broth, melted butter, and eggs in a large bowl.
  2. Toss ingredients well to mix thoroughly.
  3. Add broth, melted butter, and slightly beaten eggs to the mixture.
  4. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  5. Use to stuff the turkey's neck and body cavities or transfer to a well-greased baking dish.
  6. Bake separately in a preheated oven for about 45 minutes during the last part of turkey roasting.
