Grandma'S Suet Pudding

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. white sugar
  • 1 c. suet, chopped fine
  • 1 box raisins
  • 1 box currants
  • 2 apples, chopped fine
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients together.
  2. Add enough sifted flour, about 2 cups, to make mixture stiff.
  3. Pour in tube pan or round pans and steam 3 hours.
