Grandpa'S Spinach Dip

A creamy spinach dip with chopped green onions, water chestnuts, and savory leek soup, perfect for parties and served with French bread for a delightful appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. Knorr leek soup
  • 1 small pkg. chopped spinach
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped green onions
  • dash of salt
  • 1 can drained and chopped water chestnuts
  • 1 loaf French bread

Instructions

  1. Cook, drain, and cool the spinach.
  2. Mix mayonnaise, sour cream, and leek soup.
  3. Chop green onions and water chestnuts and add to the mayonnaise mixture.
  4. Squeeze water out of the cooked spinach and chop it.
  5. Add the chopped spinach to the mayonnaise mixture.
  6. Refrigerate the dip overnight.
  7. Cut off the top of the French bread, scoop out the bread to create a crust, and put the dip into the bread shell.
  8. Serve with the bread crusts.
