Ingredients

  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 tsp tenderizer
  • 1/2 Tbsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 lb pot roast
  • 4 carrots
  • 1 large onion
  • 5 large potatoes
  • 4 large bell peppers
  • 1 (8 oz) can mushrooms
  • 4 qt hot water

Instructions

  1. Wash and cut the pot roast into chunks.
  2. Emerge the pot roast into 4 quarts of hot water in a large pot.
  3. Put the pot on high heat.
  4. Add salt, pepper, tenderizer, garlic salt, and Worcestershire sauce to the pot.
  5. Slice carrots, chop onions, cube potatoes, and slice bell peppers; add them to the pot.
  6. Let cook on high heat for one hour.
  7. Add the can of mushrooms to the pot.
  8. Continue cooking on high heat until the roast chunks are tender.
  9. Add flour to make gravy, let it thicken and brown in the pot, then let it simmer.
  10. Cook for approximately two hours in total.
