- Cut the beef into 1-inch strips.
- Cover the beef with ground black pepper to taste.
- Brown the beef in 2 tablespoons of oil.
- Add minced onion flakes and the can of beef broth to the pan.
- Cover and cook for 1 hour.
- Remove the steak from the pan and set aside.
- Melt 3 tablespoons of butter in a small saucepan.
- Add 3 tablespoons of flour to the melted butter to make a paste.
- Add the flour mixture to the broth and turn up the heat.
- Stir constantly until the sauce thickens.
