- Pour the batter into a deep dish.
- Combine boiling water, butter, 1 1/2 cups brown sugar, and nutmeg to make the sauce.
- Pour the sauce over the batter in the dish.
- Bake at 350°F for 30 to 45 minutes.
- When putting into the oven, the batter is on the bottom and the sauce on top.
- When finished baking, invert the pudding so the sauce is underneath and the batter on top.
