Halupki (Stuffed Cabbage)

- Put the whole cabbage head in boiling water and boil for 10 minutes until the leaves begin to separate.
- Separate the cabbage leaves carefully.
- Parboil 1 cup of rice until it makes about 3 cups of cooked rice.
- Mix the cooked rice, ground round, grated onion, eggs, salt, and pepper to make the stuffing mixture.
- Stuff each cabbage leaf with the meat and rice mixture, then roll up and tuck in the ends.
- Place the cabbage rolls in a large pot, stacking them as needed.
- Mix the tomato soup and sauerkraut together and pour over the cabbage rolls.
- Cook on the stove on low heat for 2 hours until tender.
