Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 package Hamburger Helper (Beef Noodle)
  • 5 cups water
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 (16 oz) can tomatoes
  • 1 (10 oz) package mixed vegetables

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef and chopped onion in a large pot until beef is cooked through; drain excess fat.
  2. Stir in the Hamburger Helper sauce mix, bay leaf, salt, pepper, and canned tomatoes with liquid; break up the tomatoes with a spoon.
  3. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly.
  4. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add noodles and mixed vegetables to the pot, cover, and cook for an additional 10 minutes until noodles are tender.
  6. Remove bay leaf before serving. Enjoy the soup hot.
