Ingredients

  • 1 lb. can red kidney beans, well drained
  • 1 lb. can big lima beans, well drained
  • 1 lb. can baby lima beans, well drained
  • 28 oz. can pork and beans, not drained
  • 1/2 lb. bacon, diced
  • 4 large onions, cut into rings
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp. mustard
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Place all beans in a large casserole or bean pot.
  2. Fry the diced bacon until crisp.
  3. Add onion rings and minced garlic to the bacon and cook in the bacon fat for a few minutes.
  4. Add dry mustard, vinegar, and brown sugar to the skillet and cook over low heat for 20 minutes.
  5. Pour the sauce over the beans in the casserole.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 60 to 75 minutes.
