A cheesy, crispy hash brown casserole with creamy chicken flavor and crunchy topping, perfect for family dinners or gatherings with barbecue or roast dishes.

Ingredients

  • 1 bag frozen hash browns
  • 1 (16 oz.) sour cream
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup (10 3/4 oz.)
  • 2 cups grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup melted margarine
  • 3 cups crushed cornflakes

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine hash browns, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, grated Cheddar cheese, chopped onion, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  2. Place the mixture in a large baking pan.
  3. Combine crushed cornflakes and melted margarine. Sprinkle this mixture on top of the potato mixture.
  4. Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 45 minutes.
