Ingredients

  • 5 lb. pork
  • 3 lb. chuck roast
  • 1 1/2 lb. onions, chopped
  • 2 lb. potatoes, chopped
  • 1 gal. canned tomatoes
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. cider vinegar
  • 1/2 c. mustard
  • red pepper
  • salt
  • black pepper

Instructions

  1. Boil the pork and beef together, then save the broth.
  2. Grind up the cooked meat.
  3. Add chopped onions, potatoes, canned tomatoes, sugar, cider vinegar, mustard, red pepper, salt, and black pepper to the ground meat.
  4. Simmer everything all day, adding broth as needed to prevent sticking and ensure thorough cooking.
