Hawaiian Luau

A tropical, creamy layered dessert featuring bananas, pineapple, coconut, and crunchy wafers, perfect for summer gatherings and luau-themed parties with sweet, coconut, and fruity flavors.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup vanilla wafers
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 3 bananas
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 can condensed milk
  • 1 small can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 small container Cool Whip
  • 1 small can coconut
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Crush vanilla wafers and blend with margarine.
  2. Press the mixture into the bottom of a large serving dish to form a crust.
  3. Slice bananas and layer them over the wafer crust.
  4. Mix lemon juice and condensed milk until thick.
  5. Pour the milk mixture over the bananas.
  6. Drain crushed pineapple and layer it over the milk mixture.
  7. Cover the dessert with Cool Whip.
  8. Sprinkle shredded coconut on top.
  9. Add chopped pecans and cherries as garnishes.
