Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cloves
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup corn oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons ginger

Instructions

  3. Stir in the ginger with a spoon.
  4. Gradually add the flour mixture, mixing until combined.
  5. Drop rounded teaspoonfuls of dough onto a lightly greased cookie sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake in a 350°F (175°C) oven for 8 to 10 minutes or until the bottoms are browned.
  7. Cool the cookies for 1 minute on the sheet.
  8. Remove to a rack and cool completely.
