Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 to 2 lb. stew beef
  • 4 to 5 carrots, sliced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 to 3 stalks celery, sliced
  • 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup quick cooking tapioca
  • 1 whole clove (optional)
  • 2 bay leaves

Instructions

  1. Trim all fat from the stew beef and cut into 1-inch cubes.
  2. Put all ingredients into a crock-pot and mix well.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours, or on high for 4 to 5 hours.
